Who we are

This policy covers Events Bubble LLC, trading as Tipsy Parties, of 483 Green Lanes, London N13 4BS. We are the “controller” of the personal information described here. Contact us about privacy at contactus@tipsyparties.co.uk or on 020 7189 2959.

What we collect

• Quotes and bookings: your name, email, phone number, event date, location and venue, guest numbers, the package and drinks you choose, and payment details (taken securely by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers).
• Event information: details you give us about your guests’ needs, such as allergies, dietary requirements or access needs. This can include health information, which we use only to run your event safely.
• Enquiries and messages: what you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or our enquiry forms.
• Phone calls: recordings of calls with us and written transcripts of what is said (see Phone calls below).
• Applications to join us: the details you submit if you apply to work with us as a bartender or host.
• Website use: technical information such as your device, browser, pages visited and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technology (see Cookies below).

How we use it, and our lawful basis

• To give you a quote, take and manage your booking, arrange your bartender and run your event (performance of a contract).
• To use allergy and health information you choose to give us so your event is safe (your explicit consent, which you can withdraw).
• To answer enquiries, send booking updates and reminders, and handle complaints (contract and legitimate interests).
• To record and transcribe calls, so we have an accurate record of what was agreed, for training and quality, and to help the person on the call (legitimate interests).
• To keep accounts and meet tax, licensing and other legal duties (legal obligation).
• To understand and improve our website and services (legitimate interests, or consent for non-essential cookies).
• To send marketing emails, only if you have opted in or are an existing customer who has not opted out; every email has an unsubscribe link (consent or legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with: the bartender or host attending your event; our booking, email, messaging, payment, accounting and website hosting providers; and professional advisers, insurers or authorities where the law requires. We do not sell your personal information or share it for others’ marketing.

Our main providers are Google (website analytics, advertising, email and AI), Microsoft (advertising), Stripe (payments), Postmark (email), Supabase (our booking records), Vercel (website hosting), CookieYes (cookie choices), Twilio and Zoom (phone calls and messages), Meta (WhatsApp) and Anthropic (AI).

AI writing assistance

We use AI tools from Anthropic and Google to help write some of our messages and replies, to check spelling, maths and accuracy, and to support colleagues with dyslexia, arthritis and other conditions that make typing harder. To do this, these tools may process the details in your message, such as your name, event details and booking information. If you have any questions about a message, our customer support team is always happy to help.

Phone calls

Calls with us may be recorded, and what is said may be typed out automatically. We do this to keep an accurate record of what was agreed, for training and quality, and to help the person you are speaking to. AI tools from Anthropic and Google help summarise calls and suggest points for the person on the call, so they may process what is said, such as your name, event details and booking information. Some of these providers are in the United States (see International transfers). Recordings and transcripts are kept with the record of your enquiry or booking.

International transfers

Some of our providers store data outside the UK, for example in the United States or the European Economic Area. Where they do, we use the safeguards UK law requires, such as adequacy regulations or approved contract clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it. Booking and financial records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually six years. Other details, such as enquiries, messages, call recordings and job applications, are kept while they are useful for your enquiry, a booking or a question about one. Allergy and health details are used only for your event. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Your rights).

Cookies

We use cookies the website needs to work, and cookies for analytics and advertising, which our cookie banner asks you about. Saying no is as easy as saying yes, and you can change your choice at any time. Our cookie policy explains each one.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to how we use it, move it to another provider, and withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details above; we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Visitors in the United States

We do not sell personal information, including as defined under Nevada law (NRS 603A). Residents of Nevada, California and other states with privacy laws can contact us to ask what information we hold, to correct or delete it, or to opt out of any sale or sharing; we will not treat you differently for doing so.

Children

Our services are booked by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children, except details of under-age guests that a lead booker gives us so we can provide alcohol-free drinks safely.

Keeping it safe

We use reputable providers, secure connections and access controls to protect your information, and only people who need it can see it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last changed.
